The bars contain Maca root which was used by ancient Incan warriors for strength and stamina together with Chia seeds which are hailed in the book ‘Born to Run’ as the food of choice if stranded on a desert-island, as they aid muscle building, lower cholesterol, reduce the risk of heart disease, stabilise blood sugar levels and are an effective fluid and electrolyte stabiliser.
Camu camu provides the vitamin C boost to maintain a healthy immune, and nervous system, whilst also providing anti-inflammatory benefits. Quinoa which is regarded as a complete protein, works with the protein-forming amino acids in Spirulina to build red blood cells and repair damaged muscles.
